Notes
A small sketch of a winter scene with winding road in the foreground. Although best known for with their depictions of Algonquin Park and Ontario’s north, the artists of the Group of Seven and their contemporaries frequently painted in Toronto’s environs. Land features like the Oak Ridges Moraine and the city’s ravines and river valleys provided attractive locations for weekend painting trips.
