Kerr Street Underpass Project Jo in us f o r P u b lic I n fo rm a t io n M e e t in g #1 im proving h o w p eo p le m ove to, through and within Oakville D ro p in ! Wednesday, May 2, 6-8 p.m. Kerr Street Seniors Centre 63 Kerr Street The Town of Oakville, through its transportation master planning process, has identified the need to rebuild and widen Kerr Street between Speers Road and Wyecroft Road, including the building of a new underpass at the Lakeshore West GO Corridor. The town is partnering with Metrolinx to deliver this project which will improve traffic flow in the area and allow for more frequent, electrified GO service. Join us to learn more We invite you to join us for this first Public Information Meeting (PIM), co-hosted by the town and Metrolinx, to learn more about this project, its impacts, benefits and timing. The drop-in session will allow you to discuss the project one-on-one with representatives from the Town of Oakville and the Metrolinx project team. Background, timing and impact The Kerr Street Underpass Project is a critical part of the town's Transportation Master Plan. Advance work is planned to start in the spring of 2019. The construction of the underpass may start as early as spring of 2020 and is expected to take up to three years to complete. The town and Metrolinx will work hard to reduce the impact construction may have on nearby residents and businesses throughout the project. The project will also require the selection of street furnishings and streetscape elements north of Speers Road. The town will invite the community to review and provide input into streetscape element selection at two upcoming public meetings. Stay connected! • Attend upcoming meetings: • June and September 2018: streetscape furnishings and elements • Late 2018: project details, timing and logistics • Visit oakville.ca or metrolinx.com/kerr • If you have any questions or comments, email kerr@metrolinx.com.
