Conservation Halton is set to host a Designing Your Native Landscape workshop on Saturday, May 12 at the Royal Botan­ ical Gardens in Burlington. Running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event w ill teach participants how to choose and maintain native plant gardens. There's also be a chance to speak with gardening experts. Speakers include: ■ Erin Mallon, Steward­ ship Technician, Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark ■ Charlie Briggs, Staff Gardener, Royal Botanical Gardens ■ Tara Nolan, Author and Raised Garden Bed Ex­ pert ■ Crystal Bradford and Liam Kijewski, Native Gar­ den Designers and owners of Wildlife Gardening ■ Sean James, Master Gardener and owner of Sean James Consulting and Design The cost o f the work­ shop is $40, which includes a tour of a native garden and a catered lunch.
