A lasting impression Mother's Day is a time for a mother and her child to celebrate the bond that is as unique to them as their fingerprints. Mariel Pagliai Jew elry offers personalized keepsake jewelry using fingerprint impressions. The Burlington-based jeweller creates customized, handmade pieces in sterling silver that feature the fingerprints of her clients. "Watching the kids, or even adults, making the pieces for their moms is the most important part of the process," says Pagliai. "They are mak ing a memory. They are the designer. It's not a computer, it's completely handmade with their own fingerprint in the original piece." She explains she can always feel the customers' excitement when they come to help make the jewelry. What makes each piece even more unique is that each customer gets the choice of the style, shape, and font for their own pendant. There are no limits to the design of the pendants, "Each piece incorporates differ ent jewelry techniques, balance, beauty and love" said Pagliai. This Mother's Day, Mariel Pagliai Jewelry starts at $69.99 for necklace and bracelet pendants. For those looking to incorporate more than one fingerprint, Pagliai has plenty of reversible, double-sided pendants avail able with a fingerprint on each side. Pendants can be attached to a customer's existing necklace or bracelet chain, or customers can buy a chain from Mariel Pagliai Jewelry with prices starting at $15.
