The purpose of the amendment is to redefine municipal parkland classifications contained within the Town's Official Plan. This is a general Town-wide policy amendment affecting the definition of park land throughout the municipality and cannot sufficiently be shown on a map for the purpose of this notice. The first meeting will be an information meeting hosted by the Town's Planning Services Department. At this meeting, details of the proposed amendment will be presented, and public concerns noted. This meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 19,1999, commencing at 7:00 p.m. in the Trafalgar Room at Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville. The second meeting will be a public meeting hosted by Town Council, at which time a staff report and recommendation with respect to the approval of the Official Plan Amendment will be considered. This public meeting is to be held as part of the regularly scheduled Planning and Development/Council Meeting on Monday, June 14,1999, commencing at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville. Any individuals wishing to attend these meetings and speak to this matter are invited to do so. A copy of the final staff report, including the proposed Official Plan Amendment, will be available for review in the Clerks Department as of Monday, June 7,1999, between the hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Should Council recommend approval of the Official Plan Amendment, it will then be forwarded to Edward Salisbury, Director of Planning Services to the Town of Oakville, as the approval authority.
