(Pre-registration is necessary) South parking lot of Oakville Place Halton Regional Police Headquarters, 1151 Bronte Road with a BBQ and the awarding of prizes. Registration: There will be at least two persons/vehicle -- a driver and a navigator. There can be as many persons as the vehicle has seat belts. Registration fee is $10.00/vehicle(team). All the registration monies will be donated to "HEROES 2000" - the committee that is bringing HEROES to Oakville in February 2000. Classes: An open class (for any citizen who wishes to participate) and a corporate class (for businesses -- show Oakville how safely your employees drive). Winners: will be determined not by how fast they complete the course, but by how they "perform" at the various check points which will include "every traf­ fic situation known to mankind in Oakville." Grand Prize:Two (one for driver, one for navigator) one day Skid Control School Courses. The Skid Control School is Canada's longest running school of its kind. Thousands of motorists visit the school each year to participate in a variety of hands-on training courses which promote traffic safety through improved vehicle control and prevention methods.
