jne 12,1974 THE OAKVILLE BEAVER 35 OAK hosts Annual Invitational Swim Meet The Oakville Aquatic lub held its Annual itemational Invitational wim Meet at the Milton chool for the Deaf last eekend. There were 32 clubs om Michigan, Ohio, ew York, Quebec, Nova cotia and Ontario in the ompetition. By a deliberate coach's ecision to swim the •AK's top 13-year old iris in the Womens' Senior events only and not in the age group events, the club forfeited many points which could have put it in first or second place in the overall standings. The OAK finished third behind North York and Pointe Claire, Quebec. The club feels that it has what could be the best group of 13-year-olds in Canada. Kerry Kissick made it to two womens' finals and a consolation final. Val Mee was in two senior finals and Lisa Matheson was in one senior final and two consolation finals. The three 13-year olds also combined with 15- year-old Beth Tanton to take first in the womens' 400 metre freestyle relay. Murray White ,Rick Frame, Doug Doyley and John Major took second in the men's 400 metre freestyle relay.
