These are two of the prizes to be won at the Forever Young 50-Plus Lifestyle and Travel Show '99 to be held Tuesday, April 13th and Wednes day, April 14th, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front St., Toronto. Admission to the show is free, courtesy of Greyhound Canada. A free shuttle bus, courtesy of PMCL, will transport show goers to and from the Convention Centre and Union Station. The show will feature information seminars. Keynote speaker will be radio personality and money expert Brian Costello, who has a show Taking Care o f Your Money. Entertainment will be a Salute to the Jubilee, a preview of the Royal Bank Seniors' Jubilee, which is now in its 11th year. This five-day event at Roy Thomson Hall has become Cana da's largest showcase of senior talent. Between 40 and 50 Jubilee per formers will present four 45-minute performances both days, including a ballroom dance demonstration by senior champions, and a special appearance by Billy Meek of Pig and Whistle television show fame. Television celebrity Gordie Tapp - also known as Mr. Showman and Cousin Clem, will roar into the show on his Harley Davidson, make some opening remarks, and return for a half- hour comedy show. Then, he'll remain at the show to meet his fans. Tapp is a member of the Order of Canada and is ensconced in the Coun try Music Hall of Honour and the Country Music Hall of Fame. He began his career by entertaining troops during World War II, and con tinued through the 1970s. Tapp has traveled the world 27 times and rivals Bob Hope in entertaining troops around the world at army bases. Exhibitors' displays will include travel video theatre and holiday pack ages, financial services, health-care products and services, retirement housing options, insurance services, leisure and entertainment, and more. Shakespeare in the park returns The 100-year old willow tree in Coronation Park has been the setting for the Festival of Classics, and the summer home to some of Canada's leading directors and actors for the past three years. This professional, outdoor, theatre company is committed to making the classics accessible and relevant to today's audiences. In its inauguarl season the festival produced A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by acclaimed Strat ford Festival veteran John Wood. In 1997, As You Like It was produced under the direction of one of Canada's most versatile artists, Albert Schultz. And last yearr the production of Twelfth Night was directed by Diana Leblanc, whose works include the Stratford hits Death o f a Salesman and Long Day's Journey Into Night.
