Men... become more and more open to fashion--more sensitive elegance. Teens... 1999 w ill be the year of the teen. Kids... Increasingly follow adult style. Lifestyle... The new "buzz" word... easy pieces that can cross over to more than one wardrobe category. Evolving from fall of '98, look to all shades of gray from its lightest to deepest cast together with neutrals to form the base of the season, teamed with accents of soft shades of orchid, lavender and pink contrasted off of hot colours of lipstick and blue lagoon. A season filled with romantic dresses, accessories and separates but thrown together with a casual ease that makes them entirely modern. The hottest colour story revolves around pinks and reds working in combination with grays, beiges or whites. Utility chic has also take the fashion world by storm with military gear and sports influenced looks being the leaders of the pack. Look for the shades of olive, stone and indigo to set the base teamed with accents of khaki, white pink and shades of blue. A demin revival continues in shades of dark denim and not just for casual but showing up in career styling as well. However, causal w ill be the overriding theme and w ill continue to drive the business. In closing there are few clothes that we really need as most of our closets are stuffed, but there are many fashions that we really want! Be it a dress for a gala, a new outfit for work or the newest "must have" items, accessories and footwear that we want to own. Submitted by The Bay, Oakville.
