Past the fundamental systemic action motivators of Fear, Fantasy, the sex drive and survival, All human action is the result of, or a response to, a personally- held belief. We have stored in those file cabinets everything that we believe to be 'true'. This 'truth' structure of beliefs we refer to as our attitudes or our reality structure. (I don't like his attitude.) Call it what you will, it is the basis of every action a human being takes. We do absolutely nothing that isn't founded on some per sonally-held 'truth'. These are reasons for what we pur chase. We do nothing that isn't motivat ed by our personally-held beliefs and we have a belief structure about everything. We have a belief structure about buy ing shoes; about buying ties; about buy ing suits; about buying cars; we have a belief structure about everything. We have a belief structure on what kind of job we want. We have a belief structure about what it takes to raise a family. We have a belief structure about the honesty of politicians. We have a belief structure about everything we have come in contact with and thought about at a conscious level. Those beliefs are our 'Hot Buttons'. What is the easiest way to discover someone's 'hot buttons'? Ask! It says in the big manual, "ask, and thous shalt receive". "What are the three most important things to you about buying these shoes?" (Or car, or stereo, or house.) When you've got them turn them around and shoot them back. "Well look at these shoes, they are black, they are brogue and they are incredibly comfortable. Here, try them on." Hot Buttons. Leam how to find them, push them and win.
