On Saturday, August 10 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sheridan Nurseries will host a special 100th anniversary open house at its Glen Williams farm (12266 Tenth Line). The event promises to be a day of celebratory, fun-fi lled activi- ties for the whole family. For the fi rst time ever, members of the public can tour the farms, learn about the latest growing techniques, watch live planting demonstrations and participate with interactive dis- plays, as well as enjoy a delicious free barbecue. There will also be plenty for children to do with an animal and reptile show, pony rides and much more. Attendees will have the opportunity to win door prizes and the fi rst 500 families that at- tend the event will receive a boxwood seedling to take home.
