It provides a run-down of Ac- tive Living Programs for the two Centres, dates, location, and cost. Keep in mind that the cost for a member is reduced. There are application forms in the Guide, as well, that you can fi ll out and bring into Sherry at the Centre Offi ce in- dicating the Active Living programs you are interested in. Keep in mind that some programs fi ll up quickly and some can be cancelled if there is not suffi cient interest. The HillsView for September and Oc- tober will be out the last week of August. You don't want to miss this issue! I have had a sneak preview and it is full of new things to be tried at our Centre this fall. Plans are under way for our Open House Week (week of September 9). It looks like a busy week at the Centre. Lots of new things to try from exercise, cook- ing, driving, gardening, etc. Invitations have been extended, by phone, to all new 2013 members to attend a New Members Tea on Friday, September 13 at 10 a.m. It would be appreciated if you could RSVP to the Centre, 905-877- 6444 by the end of August. If you are a new member and did not receive a call we apologize. We hope that you will consider this your invitation. Members of the Mem- bership Committee will be there to discuss with you your concerns and suggestions. Georgetown Seniors Centre plans fall activities Say goodbye to the Lions Hall Come say goodbye to the Georgetown Lions Hall at a special community event, 8 a.m. to noon, this Saturday, Aug. 24 at the hall behind Memorial Arena. The hall will be demolished soon-- at the same time as the Memorial Are- na-- and as a result, the Lions will be holding a garage sale of items: tables, chairs, kitchen dishes and utensils, light fi xtures and lots of other goodies. The Lions will also be having games for the kids and the BBQ fi red up with peameal on a bun and hot dogs. So come out and share your stories and memories of the Georgetown Li- ons Hall.
