Reclining on his favourite bed, lan- guid and mysterious you know you are in the presence of a cat that deserves so much more than we are able to give him. Jack is a long-haired tabby, sporting gor- geous markings that are spectacular. Born June 30, 2009, he was brought Shelter due to his family moving to a home that did not allow pets. Jack had four years of "pet" status and is still getting used to this com- munal hectic living and is somewhat bewil- dered by his change of circumstances. He only fi nds security when in his favourite cat bed (which matches his markings) and can watch all the chaos from a distance. We are aware that Jack is affectionate once he trusts you and loves to sit on your lap and be brushed which he enjoys immensely as though knowing it makes him look even more handsome. Elegant Jack loves to lounge and would thrive in quiet, relaxing home who would appreciate a laid-back, beautiful boy. Jack would be best suited to an adult-only fami- ly, or one with children over 12 as Jack does prefer his feet planted fi rmly on the ground. Jack would manage a quiet dog that would respect a cat's space and he could be quite happy with a cat companion who was non- confrontational and just willing to either adore or ignore him. If Jack's bed could be placed in front of a large living room window or have access to a wide cosy window sill, heaven will have been reached. Bewildered Jack seeks a quiet sanctuary from the chaos By JUDITH-ANNE KOLU Upper Credit Humane Society volunteer Titan is a short hair brown tabby about 1 1/2 years old who was abandoned outside his rural home when his family moved. He survived on his own for two weeks before he was found by a neighbour. During that time he was attacked by another animal re- sulting in a broken tail and infected wound, he also suffered considerable weight loss. When Titan regained enough weight to have surgery, a Georgetown vet docked his painful broken tail and he was neutered. His tail has healed and he is now a healthy happy boy. Titan resembles a small Lynx: he is a ma- jestic cat! He comes when called, is friend- ly and playful and was cooperative in all the situations he has endured after being rescued. Although not a lap cat, he has no problems snuggling beside people for pets or a nap. He was sociable with a friendly dog and got along well with female cats but another male would probably not ap- preciate him. Titan is large and athletic and needs space to romp. Older children would enjoy playing with him; he is an impressive cat when he runs and leaps! Titan welcomes people at Pet Valu, 369 Mountainview Rd. South during business hours.
