A sadness filled me up inside, Emotions that I could not hide. Tears, they came, sadness too, All my emotions, just for you. Time will heal, so I was told, But time could never fill this hole. But In my heart there is a place, You're always there, keeping me safe. It's filled with love & happy times, It's never dark, your light it shines. In heaven now you do reside, To watch over me with love & pride. I know one day, we'll meet again, until we do just know how much we miss you and you are always with us. Always! Beloved wife to Horst Bernhardt for almost 52 years. Devoted mother to Astrid (spouse Bob Mitchell) and Frank (spouse Edie George) and Oma to Michael. She is survived by her sister Erna Jahn. Irma came to Canada in 1961 from Germany to build a better l i fe. She was a dedicated employee with long service at both Kodak Canada and the Halton District School Board . Before the onset of Alzheimers, she took great pleasure in cooking for her family and enjoying her rose garden. Therein lie the simple lessons of her life: enjoy meals together as a family, and stop to smell the roses. In her memory, enjoy flowers at your own dining table. In recognition for the wonderful care she received from the nursing team, "In Memory" contributions to Allendale Long-Term Care Home (185 Ontario Street South, Milton, Ontario L9T 2M4) would be appreciated. Following cremation, a closed service will be held for immediate family only. Yesterday's Memory I know you, I know your face, a faded memory of both time and place. Remember me, as I was once like you, full of life and dreams to come true. I am not the same person you once knew, I slowly slipped away and there was nothing I could do. Should I forget you for awhile, remember my life and forgive me with a smile. No longer burdened with tears of sorrow, I now see the sunshine of tomorrow. For once again I am whole at last, no more wondering, my life has now past. REID, George M George M.
