Photo by Ted Brown Bruce Peninsula OPP are searching for an Acton man after he went missing while boating on the Sauble River near Owen Sound Thursday (Oct. 24). Nathan French, 31, was in a dingy on the swollen river and failed to arrive at a pre-arranged spot to meet his brother Thurs- day evening. His dingy was found by family on the shores of the river Friday morning. Po- lice were called to assist with the search Friday. OPP had conducted a ground search of the area and were plan- ning an aerial sweep yesterday (Wednesday) using their helicop- ter. It was believed the river may had subsided enough by then to make the search easier. Police had utilized the heli- copter in the search Sunday as well, and on Saturday the Un- derwater Search and Recovery Unit searched the fast-moving and muddy waters of the river.
