Students, police send message Const. Maureen Andrew said the video is slat- ed to air next month on Cogeco and YouTube in conjunction with the launch of the Halton Police Distracted Driving winter campaign. The video shows a collision that results in two fatalities and is caused by a texting driver who strikes and kills a child wearing headphones as he gets off the school bus with his brother. Acting in the production were Georgetown Disrict High School students Emma Holt, Kon- rad Posberg, Mike Bilodeau and Ben de BoerSap. GDHS cosmetology students Rebecca Henry and Caley Pelkeys did the actors' makeup. Keiran and Aidan Lawson of Guelph also acted in the video. Also appearing were Halton Police officers, Halton Hills firefighters and Halton EMS staff. Fred's Towing provided two previously smashed vehicles and Rob Arsenault and Terry Layton of the towing company helped out during the filming. Perry Hunter of Anthony Acres Ltd. took part in the video by driving a large tractor that poses an obstruction on the road. Continued from pg. 1
