The event begins at 8 p.m., following the Georgetown BIA event, Magic On Main. Tickets are $20 adults, $10 students and $4 for a family of four pass. The show is a family-friendly variety show that features local talent and includes all the fam- ily favourites of Christmas. This year both MP Michael Chong and MPP Ted Arnott will be a part of the show, as well as members of the Downtown Georgetown BIA and many other local acts! The show raises funds for local families who need a little extra help at Christmas time. Last year just over $3,000 was raised and the money went to a local father raising three small children after the sudden loss of his wife, and to a single mother of four who was nomi- nated by Links2Care. The last sum was used to create The Downtown Music Scholarship which was award- ed in June to Madelaine Lake, a graduate from Georgetown District High School now ma- joring in Saxophone and Vocals at Western University. She will be joining the cast). This year the proceeds will go to support a local family from Acton. A single mother who is raising two children af- ter the recent loss of her hus- band. Links2Care will also be nominating a family. This year two scholarships will also be created: The Downtown Georgetown Music Scholarship at Georgetown District High School and also The Downtown Georgetown Music Scholarship for Christ The King Catholic Secondary School.
