Last year, on December 21, Sheila Black guided a beautiful ceremony and a prayer with a multitude of people who came to share in the end of the Ma- yan Calendar (check out last year's 90 photos at http://www.meetup. com/Sacred-Sevens-Sharing-Cir- cle/photos/12341022/#190962552). This year, Sheila will again fa- cilitate the ceremony in Willow Park while our drum circle leader, Anthony Barr will be on the rim of the Grand Canyon. Exactly at 7 p.m. EST and 4 p.m. PST, Anthony and Sheila will quote the global prayer while being joined by many other ceremonies and individuals across the planet. All over the world, at the mid- night hour at Stonehenge (GMT), groups are celebrating the begin- ning of a new year as the days will start to gradually increase in length and the nights grow shorter. Willow Park Ecology Centre is part of this worldwide celebration as host for our ceremony. The Sacred Fire will be started in Willow Park Ecology Centre at 6 p.m. and Steve Winterhawk of Four Colours Drum Circle in Brampton will be rejoining us as the fire keeper for this night's sacred ceremony. Join us singing some Sacred Sevens songs as well as other earth mother songs and help us to send out prayer and gratitude one heartbeat, one drum beat, we are all one. When the welcoming in of the new cal- endar takes place at the TOR in Glaston- bury England, it will be 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21 local time. To ensure that we all take part in the ceremony at exactly the same time, please ensure that you arrive a little before 7 p.m. so that we can smudge everyone and have the sacred fire ready for the prayers to be shared at the same time. Please dress warmly and bring a flash- light as this is an outdoor event. If you joined with us before, or if you missed the previous events, please feel wel- come to join with us on this momentous occasion in a place that was well used by the First Nations in this land. Children are welcome and encouraged to participate.
