The Georgetown native gained her love for music when she picked up the guitar for the first time at age 14. Since then, she's been writing her own songs-- more than 40-- and singing in front of crowds. She's performed along side other musi- cians, including Tom Cochrane. Last winter, Cormier won a con- test through a local radio station to play with Jason McCoy at Hamilton Place. Since that night, many peo- ple have wanted to hear more from her. Cormier spent just less than a year recording and perfecting her album at local recording studio HannahKin Studio (www.hannah- kin.com. Cormier's sound is quite unique. You wouldn't call it country, but perhaps Alternative Country. The album includes six original songs that expose her musicality and her passion for song writing. After traveling to Nashville, Cormier can check off her bucket list of playing at the legendary café, The Bluebird Café. The Bluebird Café is where many artists have been found including Taylor Swift. Cormier plans on travelling back to Nashville in the New Year with her debut CD in hand. Cormier has also lent her musi- cal talent to many causes including Inspire Halton and The George- town Hospital Foundation.
