The University Women's Club of Oakville celebrated their 40th anniversary by launching Project 40, a fundraising activity designed to give something back to the community, and raised $2500. The Club's president Linda Williams (on right) presented a cheque for that amount to Eleanor James, the director of the Oakville public library, on Monday. The Library will now match the $2500 grant with funds collected from annual book sales to purchase a lockable display case which will provide a focal point for the unique Oakville Collection of historical records and maps at the Central Library.
