There will be a children's program as well for children, 4 years and up, at the same time as the adult service. The Optimist Club of Halton Hills is hosting an essay contest where the dis- trict winner will be awarded a $2,500 college/university scholarship. This year's topic: "How can I help my friends realize their value?" Essays submitted must be 700-800 words. The contest is open to students who are attending a school in Halton Hills, under 19 years of age as of December 31, 2012. The winning essay submitted to the Optimist Club of Halton Hills will be submitted to the Central Ontario Dis- trict of Optimist International.
