Andrea was born on June 1st, 2012, arriving at the UCHS Shelter in October and has proved to be one happy little frolicking bundle clothed in a pretty grey with white tabby coat. Andrea is everything a sev- en month kitten should be: ex- tremely active and full of pleasurable antics. Andrea is a busy girl preferring a home where she can run and play alone with her toys or with another very active cat. Andrea is basically affec- tionate and does like to be pet- ted rewarding you with lots of purrs. Andrea, is just youthful- ly busy but as she matures, she will become a really loving girl. Andrea would be fi ne with older children but is not suit- able for the preschool set and as yet she seems unperturbed by dogs. If your family is looking for a young cat whose personality is bright, happy, ac- tive and loving, call the Shelter, 519-833- 2287 or adoptions@uppercredit.com. Andrea is anxious to leave the Shelter I am a handsome 4-year-old male Lab/Ger- man Shepherd cross, black with a little white accent on my chest and toes and I weigh in at 73 lbs! NEGATIVES: The walk- ers are not impressed by my barking and lunging at passing cars. "Training" is a word that keeps crop- ping up in this regard. I have no aggressive intent at all but vehicles excite me so much that I talk back loudly (barks) at these moving hulks of steel. I sometimes get really worked up when meeting other dogs and the walkers get exasperated by my pulling and leaping and again I hear "training" and no children under 10 in my new home. An active adult family or one with older teenagers would be the best match for me. Frankly, so many different people are instructing me with different ideas that it is confusing me so I lapse into fun times for me of "bark" and "pull". Once I have my own fam- ily and this "training", I know I will work very hard to being a better mannered boy. However, I cannot live with CATS! If you are not put off, here are my many POSI- TIVES: I am a dog who knows how to have fun, I adore playing ball and do enjoy my exercise time to help my high energy level. I am housetrained and pride myself on keep- ing my kennel very clean. I know my basic commands but am sometimes too excited with the com- panionship. I have captured the hearts of the caregivers who say I am a "sweetheart" with an enthusiastic spirit. I know with the right family "training", plus a regu- lar routine, I will be awesome. Quincy can be reached at 519-833-2287 or e-mail adoptions@uppercredit.com. Quincy is a treasure to discover Oswin was found in a rural area with a wounded paw, obviously a house cat and very distressed at being alone and out- side. She is about eight months old and content in a house with people and other cats. She shows no aggression towards other animals but is ini- tially defensive. Oswin (named after Dr. Who's latest companion) has a short soft fl uffy coat and enjoys being groomed but is sensi- tive about her feet. She does allow her nails to be clipped on her terms. Oswin has lots to say: an excellent communicator if she is not happy. She is happiest being carried around, sleep- ing in someone's lap or receiving pets. Oswin is best suited to live with old- er children and adults that know cats and will understand her com- ments. Information on how to adopt Oswin at www. nhkr.ca or call 905-873- 8547. North Halton Kitten Rescue has kittens and young cats for adop- tion to approved homes. Adoption fee of $160 includes: spay/ neuter, fi rst vaccinations, parasite treat- ment, microchip and a bag of food.
