Purpose and Effect of the Proposed Amendment The purpose and effect of the application is to replace and revise certain policies within the Official Plan (Section 6.2.12, Parkland Dedication and Cash-in-Lieu) regarding parkland dedication and the associated payment of cash in lieu of parkland. The purpose of the change is to update these policies, in order that the municipality can maximize its ability to collect the required parkland provisions as provided for in the Planning Act. Additional information including a draft Implementing By-law, a copy of existing Official Plan Policies (Section 6.2.12), and a draft Corporate Procedure are available upon request. Additional Information A copy of the proposed Official Plan Amendment and additional information and material about the proposed application will be available to the public prior to the meeting at the Development Approval and Planning Policy Department. Notification If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the proposed Official Plan Amendment or of the refusal of a request to amend the Official Plan, you must make a written request to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon, 6311 Old Church Road, Caledon, Ontario L7C 1J6. Appeal Procedures (Bill 51) If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to The Corporation of the Town of Caledon before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Caledon to the Ontario Municipal Board. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to The Corporation of the Town of Caledon before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
