This year, in collaboration with the Halton Hills Cultural Roundtable, they have decided to host a Silent Auction Fundraising Gala on Sat- urday, May 11, 6-9 p.m. at the Mill to benefi t the Per Chance to Dream Halton Hills Library/ Cultural Centre fundraising campaign. The focus of the Gala will be the Silent Auc- tion of more than 50 visual art pieces from Mill and other local artists and you can preview and pre-bid on pieces until May 11 at the Mill's stu- dios. The Gala is free admission. There will be tasty treats and everyone is welcome to come and peruse the art, get a Mother's Day family photo taken by Mill photographer Manny Mar- tin, and purchase fl owers for your Mom from Vanderburgh Florists. Williams Mill artists hold library fundraiser with annual spring art show ... also Elephant Orphan Project fundraiser Williams Mill artists Zsuzsa Monostory, Ken Richardson and others are hosting a benefi t for the Elephant Orphan Project for the David Shel- drick Wildlife Trust on May 11-12 in the Yellow Building (Manny Martins studio, Marblue Stu- dio) at Williams Mill. The Trust aids orphaned African elephants in Kenyan, and the artists will be selling elephant bronzes and other artifacts. This event is being organized by Shelley Vie- hweber, who learned about the orphans' plight during a family trip to Kenya in 2011.
