Bio Diversity Day Saturday May 18, 2013 Closed Monday to celebrate Victoria Day! Halton Regional Police hosted a Prescription Drug Drop-Off Day Saturday at various locations across Halton and collected more than 123 kilograms of prescription medi- cation. These drugs included codeine, Demerol, diazepam, hydrocodone, hydromor- phone, morphine, oxycodone, Percocet, Phenobarbital and several hundred needles. The province-wide public safety initiative encouraged Ontario residents to dispose of old and unused prescription medication in a secure, environmentally-friendly manner. In Halton Hills offi cers were collecting unwanted prescription drugs at the Acton 10 Divi- sion headquarters and in Georgetown at the Civic Centre. Prescription Drug Drop-off Day was supported by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP), the Govern- ment of Ontario, and Public Safety Canada.
