The money raised will be used to help furnish the paediatric rooms in the Georgetown Hospital's newly-renovated Emergency Department. Hospital Hoedown is June 7 On Friday, June 7, cowboys and cowgirls from all over Halton Hills will saddle up for a night of fun and fundraising in support of the Georgetown Hos- pital. The Hospital Hoedown will take place at Nash- ville North (520 Guelph St.) in Norval starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 each or $25 for anyone under the age of 25. The evening includes live music featuring the Lar- ry Melton Band & The Rolly Rockers and the Hemi Heads as well as dancing, delicious food and drink. Investing in Care, Close to Home, the Campaign for Georgetown Hospital, will fund the construction of a new 14,000 square foot Emergency Department- more than doubling the size of the existing cramped ER. Featured in the expansion will be the acquisition of Georgetown Hospital's first CT scanner, eliminat- ing the need for more than 1,000 patients to travel to other hospitals each year for tests. In addition, the Diagnostic Imaging Department will be transformed in a larger space-- consolidat- ing services that are currently located outside the Department and improving the quality of care that the hospital provides to its patients. The expansion is the largest-ever fundraising campaign in Halton Hills. So far 80 per cent of the $6.5 million goal has been achieved but there is still more than $1 million to go.
