"We continue to be thrilled and grateful for the support we are receiving from individuals, businesses and organizations across Halton Hill", states Campaign Co-Chair Finn Poulstrup. "With continued support we are confident that we will reach our objective and support the Town in funding this most important arena expansion project." Construction Update: Mold-Masters SportsPlex The construction of the twin rink expansion continues to be on track for a projected opening of September 2013. Most recently, the 17,000 ft 2 Pad D Floor was poured and exceed- ed all expectations for floor flatness, the Main Lobby floor was poured, the Upper seating areas of Pad C and D had radiant heating tubes installed and floors poured and the Rink B wall was opened up with structural tie in with new Pads completed. Expected Work in June: the 17,000 ft2 Pad C Floor to be poured,installation of curbing and base for new parking lot and installation of skate tiles and painting in dressing rooms Acton Arena and Community Centre Planning for the Acton Arena expansion project is underway. First initiative has been to engage the Architect team of Maclennan Jaunkalns Miller Architects (MJMA) and the Construction management team of Melloul Blamey. This is the same team that has completed the Mold-Masters Twin Rink Expansion Project. Design development is scheduled to start next month and is expected to be completed by February 2014.
