The Region's 2013 Capital Budget for roads is approximately $290 million. The signs let residents and motorists know that construction is about to begin in the area and also act as a reminder of the Region's commitment to maintaining existing infrastructure in good repair and building infrastructure to meet the needs of new development across the region. Through a number of surveys, Halton residents have repeatedly identified infrastructure and planning for future infrastructure as top priorities. Residents want to know what projects are happening in the community, especially what road projects are underway, and what Halton's plan is for future infrastructure. Halton Region is improving, widening and reconstructing the Regional road system to meet growth needs, improve traffic congestion and reduce commute times. Below is an overview of the Region's 2013 road projects. Your patience is truly appreciated as we work to make Halton Region an even better place to live, work, raise a family and retire.
