Lots of roadwork planned By this fall there should be a dramatic improvement to several streets in old Georgetown. The Town of Halton Hills has launched a construction project- known as Roads 2013-- targeting select streets in Ward 3. The streets will be resurfaced and where need- ed, reconstructed. Work is to start this spring and be completed by fall. Concurrent with the Town's work, Halton Region will be doing water and wastewater projects in the same area. Each year the Town's Pave- ment Management Construction program renews and improves the roads across Halton Hills. In 2012, the focus was on upgrading roads in the rural hamlets. "We know that each street will experience some disruption dur- ing construction, but the results of Roads 2013 will improve residents' quality of life for years to come," said Mayor Rick Bonnette. Streets affected are: • Elizabeth St. from Hewson Cr. to Ewing St. -- road resurfacing • Hillside Dr. from Mary St. to Mary St. -- road resurfacing • Hyde Park Dr. from Princess Anne Dr. to the end -- road recon- struction See PLENTY, pg. 5
