The Pakmen lost just a handful of matches this year and captured the Ontario Tier I un- der-15 boys' title as well as the Canada West cham- pionship in Regina, also placing fifth in the under-16 provincials. The 6-foot-4 Johnson, a Grade 9 Christ the King student who and starting middle for the Pakmen, play who won the Ontario and Canadian Tier I championships last year. Thring is in his first year at GDHS and although he missed the Canada West finals due to an arm injury, Pakmen coach Ed Tural- inski said that Thring was a versatile member of the team, primarily as a setter.
