Born March 17th, 1959 in Guelph, Ontario, Mark graduated from the Univers i ty of Guelph and became a Professional Engineer, working predominantly in the plastics industry for most of his career. In 2010 he realized his dream of walking to work when he helped form Harvester Energy Canada, working with Halton Hills Hydro to introduce solar energy to The Town of Halton Hills. Mark had a passion for world travel, home renovation and landscaping, his wine collection, cooking, skiing and British television series. He had a never ending thirst for knowledge of all kinds, including polit ics, science, and all things engineered. Mark was a man of his word and had an unwavering sense of integrity, even when it hurt him personally. He will be missed more than he could ever imagine. Visitation was held at J.S. Maureen will be greatly missed by her husband William (Bill) Newns of 58 years. Daughters Sharman (Art) Buckley and Linacre (Dave) Nacuk. Grand children Ross Nacuk, Nicholas Nacuk & Arthur Buckley. Maureen is remembered for her involvement in Clubs, Central School, Farmers Market, Meals on Wheels, 4H, Save the Elevator, and many other contributions to the community. STICKNEY, William (Bill) It is with a true sense of loss that we are sad to announce the passing of William (Bill) Stickney on December 17th, 2013 in his 103rd year. He passed suddenly, and peacefully, with Jill at his side, in Extendicare in Lindsay, Ontario. Bill was predeceased by his wife Irene. Bill is survived by his children, Jack of Williams Lake, B.C, and Jill and her husband Jim of Lindsay, Ontario. He was blessed by several grandchildren and great grandchildren: Heather Harris and family of Toronto, Sara-Lynn Francis and family of Lindsay, Bill Wray of Montreal, Jay Stickney and family of Prince George, B.C. and Jay Stickney of Williams Lake B.C. The new Georgetown Orchestra is for kids that have been playing the violin, viola, or string bass for over a year and would like learn and perform classical string music with other kids. Unlike most youth orchestra programs chil- dren do not have to audition but should be able to read music at the beginner level. All the mu- sic will have parts written for beginner through to advanced students. There will be at least two major concerts per year with the proceeds helping to support the Acad- emy of Music Scholarship Program. The scholarship offers mu- sic lessons at no charge to chil- dren in the community that otherwise would not be able to arrange lessons themselves.
