YOU & YOUR PET Ziggy, is a glossy male black lab, 6 years young, presents with youthful vigour, and weighs 60 lbs. Ziggy is housebroken, tolerant of other dogs and gentle children. He displays me- dium energy, and walks well on leash. Ziggy enjoys ball play and fetch and has nice manners during play, in fact he is an all round very obedient boy. Ziggy, once rehomed, will be a laid back dog who just needs YOU in his life to give those massages he adores, make sure he has play bones and attention and he is an extremely happy boy. Ziggy does a cute fancy dance by the door in anticipation of getting to go outside to play which is his idea of heaven. Ziggy will make the right family a very nice loving, companion dog. We are surprised that Ziggy has not left for his new home as he is such a good boy and usually labs fly out the door! If you feel you may be the family for Ziggy call the Shelter at 519-833- 2287 or e.mail adoptions@uppercredit. com for a meet and greet. Ziggy soldiers on... By JUDITH-ANNE KOLU Upper Credit Humane Society volunteer Rook is cuddles and fun mixed in with mischief. He is a large lap cat for being only five months old and a great bedtime snug- gler but he can't resist teasing and pester- ing other cats in his foster home. He finds dogs fascinating and rolls around trying to engage them in play, (much to the relief of the foster cats). With people he is gentle and loving, even while playing he is not ag- gressive. He soaks up the attention until it's time for more action. Rook was observed for a couple of weeks living on the streets of Georgetown before he arrived in NHKR foster care, skinny with a slight upper respiratory infection. He adjusted easily to his foster home and has never tried to escape outside. Rook would thrive in a home with multiple people to cuddle and play with him, a friendly dog would be on his wish list and ideally no other cats unless they were assertive enough to keep him in line. Rook and Mrs. Christie will be avail- able for adoption at Pet Valu, 369 Moun- tainview Rd S. on Saturday, Jan. 25 from 1-3 p.m. On the same day, other young cats are available for adoption at Pet Valu, 235 Guelph St from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more www.NHKR.ca or call Barb 905-873-8547. By BARB JOHNSON North Halton Kitten Rescue volunteer Rook is 'cuddles and fun mixed with mischief' Violet is as sweet as her name...originally arriving in June this 7 year old grey tabby is love personified, sweet and friend- ly. Violet adores laps, tummy rubs, gives kisses to your cheek. When she cannot find a person to cuddle to, she can be found looking out the window watching the world passing her by. Life as a single cat or with a calm, unobtrusive companion would be the best match. Charles arrived as a kitten on July 26, 2013 and has developed into a playful little sweetheart who loves to be held or sit on a lap. He has lovely markings and is a great cat. We really do not know why he hasn't al- ready left the building for a home of his own. Laurie arrived on August 14th, 2013 with her babies who "flew out" the door, leaving sweet Mummy behind. Laurie is two years old and is very talkative with a distinctive meow. Another loving girl who just wants to sit with you and be petted…also she loves being held. Call 519-833-2287 Email adoptions@ uppercredit.com CLOE arrived on July 2, 2013 with her two kittens who have long been ad- opted. Sweet Cloe waits and waits. She is a loving cat just wanting to sit and lounge on you. She enjoys playtime and is very friendly. You can visit with Cloe at Pet Valu, Unit 2, 890 Main St. E., at Thompson Rd. in Milton.
