Kase, 29, has been a member of the 7th Toronto Regiment Royal Ca- nadian Artillery, which is based out of Moss Park Armoury, since 2002. The 32nd Canadian Brigade Group has approximately 2,200 soldiers in 10 units based around the Greater To- ronto Area. It has two reconnaissance regi- ments, two field artillery regiments, a field engineer regiment and six infan- try battalions. As part of her training, Kase last year ran 20 km of a 100-km ultra marathon in Niagara Falls with a 25-pound weight as a member of a re- lay team ruck sack run. She's also a basic military training instructor at three different levels and does specialty training for driving and operating artillery weapons systems. One of the roles of primary reserves like the 32nd CBG is to assist various levels of government during natural disasters upon request.
