"This is not your aver- age recital," said James Franczek, the director at the Academy. "You will ac- tually hear several differ- ent styles of music played from pop to rock to Celtic. We asked only that the kids avoid classical music for this show. There will be a wide variety of solos on voice, piano, guitar, violin, fiddle, and ukulele as well as a four-song perfor- mance by an Academy student rock band, The Flaming Llamas." The concert will be held at the Pic- a-Deli Restaurant, 670 Fourth Line in Oakville. Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the show. Tickets will be available at the door. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 12. There will be a 50/50 draw and door prizes as well. All the profit goes directly to the Hu- mane Society. If you have a local business and would like to donate a gift cer- tificate or a door prize please call the Academy of Music, 905-845-1227.
