This is the eighth year Halton Police have conducted the campaign which focuses on education, awareness and high visibility en- forcement of traffic laws in and around school zones. The campaign is run in conjunction with the first two weeks Halton children re- turn to school and runs until Sept. 13. Officers will be cracking down on speeders, aggressive drivers, those who use hand held devices while driving, and people who aren't wearing their seatbelts. Halton residents have ranked traffic as their #1 policing priority in previous surveys. Halton Police recognize their concern and takes part in various campaigns throughout the year to educate the drivers and enforce the Highway Traffic Act and other traffic related legislation.
