Thefocused presentations. Thef series, at OPL's Iroquois Ridge Creation Zone, cov- ered a variety of tech-relat- ed topics directed toward lo- cal youth. The series included three two-hour presenta- tions and hands-on experi- ences designed to encour- aged youth to get excited and learn more about tech- nology and to inspire them to take up careers in the rap- idly-growing tech industry. The first presentation on June 2 introduced teens toJune 2 introduced teens toJ coding. The TU20 team trained participants on the basics of coding and helped them get started using their own computers during an interactive and hands-on workshop. TU20 returned to the Creation Zone June 9 to dis- cuss artificial intelligence and machine learning. The team presented to a group eager to learn more about the process of training com- puters to solve problems in technology, medicine and fi- nance. TU20 will be coming back to the library for its last session, set for June 23, to give a presentation on cryptocurrencies and blockchain. The free ses- sion is a drop-in program that runs from 1 until 3 p.m. in the Iroquois Ridge Cre- ation Zone. The TU20 presentations are designed for teens and tweens and encourages au- dience members to discov- er, engage, and learn more about evolving technology in our society. TU20 and OLP also col- laborated on a series of pro- grams in 2017, which fo- cused on career-building and entrepreneurial skills, including creating a busi- ness plan and delivering pitches to clients.
