It's the � rst thing people see and leaves a � rst im- pression. Smart realtors know your lawn is an important part of curb appeal when you sell. The average Oakville home is now valued in the $1 million range, so it makes sense to spend a few dollars to improve and maintain your lawn. But beware! Just as lawns are different--so are lawn care companies. Be sure they have an Oakville business licence, experience and turf edu- cation. Do your research at the university or government level. Check out the difference between organic and synthetic and stick with organics, which are safe, sustainable and good for both the turf and the soil. How do you decide if you should do your own lawn care or hire someone? Start by asking yourself these questions: What is the best use of your time and money? Do you enjoy the work or just the results? What should you buy and when do Lawn care 101: What you need to know for green grass you apply it?
