Surrounded by his family, Carlo passed over peacefully on June 4, 2018 at the age of 91. Carlo was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of over 68 years, Jeanette (nee Carpeneto), brother to 3, a father to 5, grandfather to 13, and great- grandfather to 11. Carlo took great pride in his family and dedicated his life to them. Nature was his kingdom. He cared deeply for his forests , gardens and animals and tended to his farm with gentle hands and a pure heart. Carlo was the ground beneath his family's feet, keeping his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren rooted and supported with his unconditional love. He took great joy in bringing people together with his love of cooking. Carlo illuminated the lives of those who knew him with his inquiring mind, bright nature and sense of humour. He touched every person he met with kindness, understanding, and grace. Carlo was a fair and just man who believed in truth, held respect for all living things, and never let a soul in need go without. As a founding member of both the St. Andrew's Knights of Columbus (Oakville) and of the Holy Rosary Knights of Columbus (Milton) Councils and a beloved member of the community he will be remembered with great admiration for his life-long generosity and patronage. Carlo is survived by his loving wife Jeanette, their five children, David (Monica), Anthony (Virginia), Carlo (Rodney), Mary Demarte (Bill), and Michael (Debra), grandchildren Adam, Allison, James, Peter, Angela, Zach, Sarah, Jessica, Ian, Madison, Jake, Danielle, and Lauren, and great- grandchildren David, Joseph, Ivory, Roman, Memphis, Freya, Ferris, Gio, Manuel, Claire, and Alexander. Carlo is also survived by his brother John (Marilyn). He was predeceased by his sister Dena and brother Louie. Carlo will also be missed by a large and loving extended family. A visitation was held on Sunday, June 10 at J. Scott Early Funeral Home (21 James Street, Milton) 905-878-2669. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, June 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church (139 Martin Street, Milton). Dr. Maher will now take up her residency program in Neurology based out of Toronto. Monica is a long-time resident of Oakville, and was a student at St. Bernadette elementary school and a graduate of St. Ignatius of Loyola high school. She then attended the University of Toronto where she completed her undergraduate studies with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Neuroscience. Monica returned to U of T to complete her graduate studies with a Masters of Science, focusing on cognitive neuroscience and neuroimaging. Monica was then accepted into the prestigious U of T School of Medicine where she has just completed her MD program, matching to Toronto Neurology for further specialist training. MALTAR, Duro "George" Passed peacefully, on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 after a lengthy illness at Oakvi l le Trafalgar Memorial Hospital while surrounded by family at the age of 72. She was so full of life, love and dedication for her family and friends. She was p r e d e c e a s e d b y h e r h u s b a n d Antonio Faria in 2008 and is survived by her sons, Joseph and Tony and her three grandchildren Anthony, Jordan and Selena. She has left us with many cherished and wonderful memor ie s and wi l l be great l y missed.
