Bob was the beloved husband of Nancy and devoted father of Bayly. He was survived by his parents Wilf and Carol Hepburn along with his brothers Mitchell (Marylynn) and Wes (Donna) He will be missed by his mother and father in law Pat and Ted Bayly, n ieces Danie l le and Malerie and nephews Matthew, Max, Michael and William, along with his sister-in-law Janet (Ron) and large extended family. Bob was a role model for us all, relentless in his commitment to make this world a better place. A teacher librarian, he was a passionate educator who challenged his students at Abbey Park Secondary School to open their m i n d s a n d t h e i r h e a r t s . H e spearheaded the schools equality initiatives as a fierce ally of the LGBTQ2 community and channeled his love of sports by dedicating countless hours to coaching football, rugby and hockey. He coached with the Oakville Hornets Girls Hockey Association and served as President for several years, and took pride as a long time volunteer with the Big Brothers of Halton. Together with h i s w i f e N a n c y, B o b l i t e r a l l y championed the underdog by fostering dozens of abandoned hounds and helped them find their forever homes. Their four "foster fails" Colt, Wade, Flynn and Luna are the luckiest dogs around. Bob's generosity of spirit was never more evident than when he twice acted as a living donor, saving the lives of a stranger and of a dear friend. In addition to his love of sports and giving back, he also loved travel and the outdoors and spend countless weeks camping with family and friends. This was cherished time that will be fondly remembered by all. His death is a profound loss for his family and will also be keenly felt in the communit ies he served so t i re less ly.
