Beloved wife for 59 years of Norman (Johnson), loving and proud mother of Graham (Suzanne) of Grand Cayman and Kim (Michael) of Burlington. Proud Grandy to and sadly missed by her grandchildren: Jessica and Heather (Graham) and Alex, Ryan and Graham (Kim). Predeceased by her parents, Jack and Jane Hoggins, and her brother Jack Hoggins. Dearly missed by her sister Audrey (Gordon) Reilly and sister-in-law Olive Mellis (Ron) of Oakville. Respected Aunt of Paul Reilly and Tracy Sternbach (Reilly), and of Ron, Terry and Kevin Mellis. Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England on December 18, 1933, Maureen and the "love of her life" Norman immigrated to Oakville in 1955 upon completion of his service with the RAF in Germany. Maureen was an entrepreneur and in 1963 she started Young House of Fashion with the late Marjory Law with stores in Oakville, Burlington, The Kingsway and Forest Hill, which she sold in 1987. In 1981 Maureen formed a mail order and monogramming company with her dear friend Debbie Brummel, called It's a Howell. Maureen taught courses in merchandising at Sheridan College and was a member of the Advisory Council for the Federal Business Development Bank. Throughout her life Maureen dedicated time to many Oakville organizations including St. Aiden's Church, Oakville Girl Guides, Appleby College Auxiliary, Downtown Business Association and the Oakville Chamber of Commerce. Maureen and Norman were always delighted when friends and family filled their Newcastle Magpie for Cèilidh's, celebrations and their annual Holiday party. A diehard Leaf fan, she never missed a game. The family would sincerely like to thank Suki, Joy, Emily, Doreen, Glorivel, Jennifer, Jocelyn and Mila at Chartwell Classic in Oakville for their dedication to Maureen. Thank you to Maureen's GP, Dr. Skupsky, the Emergency Room staff at OTMH including Dr. Rahman, Dr. Patel, Dr. McDougall and Nick, R.N., the TGH Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic, and West Park Healthcare Centre. Special thanks from Kim to Diana Berriman, a devoted friend to Mom and their Friday afternoon visits with wine and laughs, and to Martie Whitaker for her support through trips down memory lane, reading to Mom with her favourite coffee and spiritual friendship. Ed and Eleanor were married on July 6, 1968 at Evangel Pentecostal Church in Montreal. They later moved to Aylmer, Quebec and then on to Oakville, Ontario for 38 years, before moving to Burlington. They have been blessed with two children, Gail (Jay) and Gregory (Giovanna) and two grandchildren (Cody and Joshua). CHEESMAN, Barbara Phyllis (Lloyd) It is with great sadness, but fond memories that we announce the passing of our Mom, our Nana, and our friend, Barbara Phyllis (Lloyd) Cheesman. Our Mom passed away at the age of 68, with family at her side on July 1, 2018 at the Trillium Hea l th Center in Mi s s i s sauga . Barbara is survived by her loving sons and daughter Chris (Jenn), Brandon (Suzy), Ryan (Erika) and Ashley (Matt). Mom or Nana, also had three grandchildren who loved her very much, Riley, Sydney and Spencer. Barbara was born on July 17, 1949 in Toronto, ON, to parents and best friends Arthur and Phyllis Lloyd. The Lloyd family made their home and great memories in the Alderwood neighborhood of South Etobicoke. Barb had many loves but none greater than the love for her children. Her light is gone far too soon and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. A memorial Visitation will take place at Glendale Funeral Home and Cemetery from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. FOSTER, Mary A memorial service celebrating the life of Mary Foster will be held at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr St.) on Sunday July 15th at 1:00 pm. Mary passed away at Georgian Bay General Hospital on April 1st. She is survived by her granddaughter, Julia Sotelo. A special thank you is extended to the doctors and nurses at GBGH who took excellent care of Mary during her final days.
