At approximately 11:15 p.m. Ju- ly 13, Halton police were called to the area of Rebecca Street, east of Dorval Drive, in relation to a teen who had been shot. Police and paramedics responded and the 19-year-old victim, later identi- fied as Keegan Parkinson of Oak- ville, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was found west of the downtown during Oakville's Mid- night Madness, a heavily-attend- ed annual event. The shooting appears to have been a targeted attack, said po- lice.
