A 21-year-old Oakville motorcyclist has died from the life-threatening injuries he suffered after striking a tree in Oakville July 17. Confirmed on social me- dia as the accident victim, Kadeem Phillip crashed his 2005 Suzuki GSX shortly be- fore midnight at intersec-fore midnight at intersec-f tion of Meadowland Drive and River Oaks Boulevard. He lost control entering the boulevard on the north side of the roadway before hitting the tree. He was rushed to Hamil- ton General Hospital, but later succumbed to his inju- ries. A GoFundMe page had been set up following the ac- cident and exceeded the $20,000 goal. MOTORCYCLIST SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES AFTER CRASH A Halton police collision reconstruction unit investigator surveys the scene of a motorcycle that crashed into a tree on River Oaks Blvd. just east of Oak Mead Blvd. just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday (July 17). The twenty-one year-old male operator of the motorcycle, Kadeem Phillip (right), was rushed to Hamilton General Hospital by Halton paramedics in life-threatening condition.
