The internationally renowned cast from around the world will be under the big top at Sheridan College Trafal- gar Campus in the parking lot at 1430 Trafalgar Rd. starting Friday, Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. with shows Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 4 and 5 at noon, 4 and 7:30 p.m., and Monday, Aug. 6 at 1 and 5 p.m. The cast includes the famed Guerre- ro 4 Man High Wire from Portugal, the S Caleb Carinci - Asch Equestrian Acro- bats from Europe, the Bilea Transforma- tion Act from Romania, Gonzales Duo Aerial Act from Peru and Puerto Rico, the Juggling world record holder, Tommy Tequila, the sensational Trapeze, The Chinese Acrobats from the People's Re- public of China, the TZ Aerialists, Hula Hoops and the death defying Wheel of Destiny with Joseph Dominik Bauer. The Spectac! Show does not include exotic animals, but does provide audi- ences of all ages a glimpse into the traditional world of circus performance where families have been performing for generations. Since the first season, the choir has become widely recognized as one of Canada's leading community children and youth choirs. In 1994 the choir was registered as a charitable organi- zation and the group is passionate about their mission to be a welcoming, professional and in- novative community encompassing exceptional musical education, leadership development and performance opportunities. The choir offers a comprehensive program for more than 250 kids from preschool to young adulthood that work with community, connec- tion and confidence - both in and outside of the classroom. The focus of the choir is to work with children and youth and teach them performance and collaboration with other artists and artistic groups and organizations, as well as offering out-groups and organizations, as well as offering out-groups and organizations, as well as offering out reach and leadership opportunities for students. There are also performance opportunities available for all age groups within the Oakville Choir, and within the community with local fes- tivals, competitions, workshops and community events; including ArtHouse, the Oakville Sympho- ny Orchestra, Intrada Brass, Burlington Welsh Male Chorus and the Halton Youth Symphony Orchestra. The Oakville Choir has recently received fund- ing from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, helping to successfully enhance the choir program by adding new artistic and youth leadership posi- tions and opportunities. The choir has received substantial support in Oakville throughout the past 25 years from foun- dations, organizations and volunteers to help achieve the success they have.
