Town council voted Nov. 14, 2016 to pass a bylaw that will increase the num- ber of wards from six to seven for the Oct. 22 mu- nicipal election. The bylaw also autho- rizes the election of one new town councillor and one new regional council- lor to serve this seventh ward, moving the total number of Oakville coun- cillors from 13 to 15. Adrian Paris, Ajay Rosha, Jasvinder Sandhu and Saima Zaidi are run- ning for the Ward 7 town councillor position.
