On behalf of the business com- munity, the Oakville cham- ber is engaging the mayor- al candidates, as well as the candidates running for town council and regional council in a conversation around business priorities. In fact, the Oakville chamber recently launched a "Road Map for Business Success" high- lighting four important pil- lars identified by our mem- bers in a recent advocacy survey. 1. Business competitiveness Chamber members overwhelmingly want to see town council focus on strengthening business competitiveness. The top three issues that must be addressed by this council are taxation, red tape and the cost of housing.
