Halton police have ar- rested a second youth in connection with the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old Oakville teen. Keegan Parkinson wasKeegan Parkinson wasK killed in what police called a targeted shooting on July 13 at about 11:15 p.m., in front of an older style bungalow at 215 Rebecca St., just west of Maurice Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene. On Aug. 23, the Halton police homicide bureau ar- rested a 17-year-old boy and charged him with several crimes, including: criminal negligence causing death by use of firearm and careless use of a firearm. On Wednesday, Sept. 12 the homicide bureau arrest- ed a second 17-year-old male in connection with this crime and charged him with: • Manslaughter • Obstructing police • Public mischief • Possession of a prohibit- ed firearm and ammunition • Careless use of a fire- arm • Possession of a firearm while prohibited • Failing to comply with recognizance Police said both of the ar- rested youths were known to the victim. Neither name can be re- leased because of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
