A group of cyclists from the GTA completed the Wellspring Peloton Chal- lenge, an annual event cov- ering more than 4,000 kilo- metres. All participating cy- clists were challenged with raising a minimum of $10,000 for the Wellspring Cancer Support Founda- tion. Many exceeded that mark. A large crowd of family members and friends of the cyclists greeted the cyclists at the end of the journey. A group of Wellspring War- riors who served as inspi- ration for the cyclists were also on hand. Each Warrior has either had cancer or is fighting cancer. The event has raised more than $3.3 million to help Wellspring continue to provide cancer support programs led by accredited professionals without cost to the individual or family member living with can- cer. Main sponsors and sup- porters include Birch Hill Equity Partners, BMO Capital Markets and To- ronto Foundation along with Northleaf Capital Partners, Heber and Beth- any Lacerda, Eve and Peter Willis, RSM Canada, Core- Mark, Slaight Music, De- nys Calvin, Stikeman El- liott and Genworth.
