Halton police's Marine Unit discovered the body of a 27-year- old man from Mississauga shortly after 11 a.m. to the west of Maple Grove Dr., near the former site of Edgemere Estate, a landmark property in Oakville's "gold coast" of mega-mansions. Speaking to reporters at the scene, Const. Ryan Anderson said police found the body on the shore about 600 metres west of the crash site. The body belonged to an adult passenger in the car, Anderson said, adding he could not specu- late on how the body got to the lo- cation where it was found. "How the deceased ended up there I don't know," he said. The identity of the victim, the lone passenger in the vehicle, is not being released at the request of the family.
