It's the second time in four years the 100 Guys group has donated money to Home Suite Hope, a Hal- ton-based charitable orga- nization. "The funding will be put to program support for our moms, who work hard to change their lives for the better and rely on our sup- port to build a hopeful fu- ture for their kids," HSH president Britta Martini- Miles said. "And just as im- portant as the financial in- vestment is the emotional investment of caring guys who invest in the lives of our moms; it means a lot." The presentation was made at HSH's Sleep In Your Car fundraising event in September. 100 Guys Who Care Oak- ville, founded in 2015, brings together a group of men in Oakville and other parts of Halton who care about community causes. They meet four times a year to network and vote on a local charity to sup- port, each contributing $100. Donations are usually $10,000 or more. Home Suite Hope pro- vides long-term housing to single parent families fac- ing homelessness in Hal- ton Region; good people who need support that goes beyond what is provided by emergency shelter facili- ties. HSH offers up to four years of transitional hous- ing and wraparound sup- port services to single par- ents who are ready to break the cycle of poverty and take the difficult jour- ney to self-reliance.
