Branch 114, Oakville and former President of the Lion's Club of Oakville) On Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in his 87th year. Jim, beloved husband of the late Lorraine. Loving father of Diane, Malcolm J. (Kim) and Teresa Attridge (Terry-deceased). Devoted Grandpa and "Pie" to Christina (Phil), Darryl (Bonnie), Tim (Lindsay), Keith and Dave (Dawn). Devoted Grandpa Jim to Markus, Colton and Thatcher James Mackie. Jim was lighthearted, loved everyone and h i s sense o f humour was contagious. He was playful and loved tell ing his grandkids "cat stories." He loved playing pool with his grandsons. His Ontario grandsons nicknamed him "Pie." Jim always made time for his family and friends. He loved going to the Legion and having a scotch or two with his buddies. Born in Oakville, he was proud to live here all his life. Jim worked at King Paving for 45 years, where he started driving a cement mixer and became Truck Foreman. Visitation was held on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Service was held in the Chapel on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment at St. Jude's Cemetery. Bernice is predeceased by husbands Allan Morrison Masson and Richard Telford. Survived by nieces Betty Birrell of Ancaster and Lianne Unwin of Schomberg, and nephew James Dixon (Marylou) of Exeter. She is also survived by step- daughters Leslie Masson Sparks and Caroline Masson Floroff both of Oakville. MEINZER, Glenn William Glenn passed away suddenly at the age of 48 at the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital on December 24, 2018. Glenn was an avid outdoorsman who loved canoeing, camping, gardening and many more outdoor activities. In spite of suffering from Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis f o r t h e p a s t 1 3 y e a r s , G l e n n maintained a keen optimism and engagement in life, sustained by his many wonderful friendships and the deep love and care of his family. He was the son of Heinz Meinzer and Diane Meinzer and the brother of Karin Meinzer. Dianne Pringle and Jim Romanko were special friends to Glenn. Over the last years especially, Glenn also received so much support from dear friends Heather, Fred, Bob A, Bob P, Paul, Gil l ian, the "paddlers", and many more. He is fondly remembered by family and friends in Germany. We will all miss Glenn so much. Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday January 5, 2019 at Glen Oaks Funeral Home (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville) from 12 noon - 1 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. in the Glen Oaks Chapel.
